Computer Workshops Schedule
January & February, 2018
Tuesday, February 27, 9 to 11:30 a.m.
All skill levels welcome
Bring your fully charged camera, Smart Phone, or IPad; the USB cord that goes with your device; and a flash drive to save photos. Learn to upload your photos, organize them into folders/albums; perform some basic editing skills; and attach to emails/texts.
IOS-Workshops for IPad and IPhone
Tuesdays, March 13 through March 27; 9:00-11:30 a.m.
Bring your IPad/phone to class and learn the basics of operating your device using the latest version of IOS. Participants must have an ITunes account and know their password. Weekly topics are as follows:
March 13: the basics: settings, managing and organizing apps, Siri, calendar feature March 20: Internet searching, texting, Email--send/receive email, add attachments, manage mail
March 27: camera and photo features. Take pictures, Create albums, share with ICloud, upload to a flash drive. (Bring a flash drive if you want to move your pictures from your device to free up memory space.)
Participants must have their own fully charged iPad/Phone; have an iTunes account, and know their Apple ID Password.
Overdrive, Zinio, and Hoopla
Tuesday, April 3; 9:00-11:30 a.m.
Bring your device and learn how to utilize the free services offered by the Ocean City Library for books, magazines and music/video. We will access/use Zinio (magazines), Overdrive (books), and Hoopla (music/audio books/TV). You will need your device & password, your library card, and an Amazon account and password
No Signups Required
For all courses we recommend students bring a USB Flash Drive to save their work. USB Flash Drives will be available to purchase for $10.
Couldn't make it to one of our workshops? Worry not! We offer our library members access to thousands of online, on-demand video training tutorials on the most popular software and devices, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs, iPad and more.
To access the training module:
1. Go to https://www.rbdigital.com/oceancityfreenj/service/atomic
2. Click on the "Browse Tutorials" button.
3. Enter your username and password. If you have not created an account yet, click on "Create New Account".
4. From the main dashboard you can search for software that you are intrested in, or you can browse the menu on the left hand side of the page.
