THE WORLD OF FRANKENSTEIN - “A Fan’s Tribute To The Monster”

On Thursday,  October 23rd at 7pm in Lecture Hall N110

This is a one man show that tells the story of how Frankenstein has been a life long hobby for Ron MacCloskey. Ron started collecting at age 7. Growing up in the early 1960's he was influenced by monster models in the toy stores, magazines on the newsstands, and monster movies on TV. He's followed his passion and amassed a collection that now totals over 600 items! Along the way he has met people like Sara Karloff (Boris Karloff's daughter) Director Peter Bogdanovich, Dwight Frye Jr., Bela Lugosi Jr., John Zacherly, and many more.

His collection has been seen on local TV, major cable channels, Madison Square Garden, libraries, colleges, conventions, etc. Ron has founded a holiday FRANKENSTEIN FRIDAY, created THE FRANKY AWARD. This award has been given out to certain people who have kept the story of Frankenstein alive. He also wrote and produced THE FRANKENSTEIN RAP, and so many other things.

He now has written a show that tells his fascinating story that all began with one monster model. He will explain how it all got started, what he has done in the past, and what he has planned for the future. So if you are a fan of great classic monster movies or a fan of Boris Karloff, this is the show for you.
