How to Ask For and Get What You Want.

The "Good Book" says: "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Can asking for and getting what you want really be as simple as that?

This session addresses ways of asking and following through to achieve what you want. It can definitely help if you know the right words to say and back them up with body language. And it goes without saying that you'll want to establish a positive rapport with the person you're addressing. You may want to try these techniques with your kids and grandkids, your boss, the cable company, and that appliance store that sold you a "lemon." Learn new techniques and share your own ideas about talking so people will listen.

Introduction to Mindfulness: A New Way to Live

Where is most of your life spent? Are you looking back, looking forward, or being pre-sent in the now? Would you like to spend more time enjoying the moment? What's stop-ping you, and what can you do to make it happen? It's been proven that Mindfulness can help you love your life more, reduce stress, manage anger and disappointment, and help you get along better with people at home and at work.

What are the basic principles of Mindfulness, and where can you go to learn more?

The presenter, who practices Mindfulness, took a course offered by Jefferson University Hospital and is currently writing a children's book on the topic.
