A Concert by Women’s Quartet
at the Ocean City Free Public Library
"Chanteuse" is a women’s quartet formed in Ocean City by Jennifer Kramm-Rowe, head of choral music at Ocean City Intermediate School. The word Chanteuse is French for a female singer. The group is di-rected by Robert Snodgrass, a noted choral director of many New Jersey high schools. The accompanist is Dianna Donat, an accomplished pianist from the Moorestown area now residing in Ocean City.
The singers are: Jennifer Kramm-Rowe, Soprano, Leslie Clarke, Soprano, Christine Sauer, alto, and Anne Beckert, alto. All four singers are well known in Ocean City musical circles and sing with the Master-works choir and St. Peter’s Methodist Church Senior Choir.
Their repertoire features pop standards such as the Beatles’ “Yesterday”, Gershwin’s “Someone to Watch over Me”, and “Sincerely” by the McGuire Sisters. Add a dash of English folksong, a few perennial favorites like “Danny Boy” and a gospel gem, “I Am His Child” by Moses Hogan, and you have a refreshing sampling of music.
"Chanteuse" will be giving a free performance at the Ocean City Free Public Library in the Christopher Maloney Lecture Hall on
