Make Your Own Collage at the Library!

During the workshop, Dr. Brown will demonstrate the creation of a collage along with the participants, discussing design principles as he and the group display their items on the collage board. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own papers, photos, magazine pictures, yarn, and leaves.
We will be encouraged to use our intuition and have fun, like playing in a sandbox.
Packets of materials will be distributed beforehand, including a glue stick and 140 pound paper board to paste the work.
Dr. Brown is a retired professor at the Rutgers School of Social Work in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He is a memoirist who has written his autobiography and memoirs about his life. For the last twenty years, he has been a collage artist, currently teaching collage at Stonebridge, a continuing care retirement community in Skillman, New Jersey. Before living at Stonebridge, he was a member of a cooperative artists gallery in Metuchen, New Jersey, where he hung and sold his art. He is a member of the National Collage Society.
