Left to die in the hospital hallway, Thomas' friend smashed a fired alarm that started a sequence of events which sent Thomas to a trauma hospital where one brilliant, daring, and innovative surgeon took a chance on him.
These life saving measures initiated a series of “little miracles” that instilled hope in times of great doubt.
This historic medical case has dramatically transformed lives, medicine and neuroscience as we know it today.
