Helps NJ families afford health insurance.
THE PROGRAM IS CLOSED TO NEW APPLICANTS.
The ACCESS Program was designed to help New Jersey families get health insurance
so they can stay healthy. It's a state funded program that provides subsidies
to low and moderate-income families. You should apply for this program if you
are a NJ resident who is: 1) not offered insurance coverage by your employer,
2) no longer eligible for Medicaid, or 3) applying for unemployment benefits.
You must also meet certain income requirements. An individual can earn up to
$20,600. per year and a family of four up to $41,750. The cost is based on
family size and income. Everyone must pay something. Applications are not
being accepted as of 8/1/98.
