DESCRIPT:

Support for families of mental patients.
This program focuses on the needs of families who have loved ones affected by mental illness. Family members can attend monthly support group meetings where they gain emotional strength from talking and listening to others in similar circumstances. Concerned professionals are available through appointments in our office or the family home to lend support and technical assistance to families with legal or medical questions, concerns about partial care programs, coping skills, or the status of current mental health legislation. Collectively, we are working to educate families to become a more self-reliant, "empowered" body.
