Funds redevelopment efforts using a percentage of casino
revenues.
Created under P.L. 1984, the CRDA administers the reinvestment of a portion
of the gaming industry revenues in housing and economic development projects
statewide. The CRDA Act provides casinos the opportunity of fulfilling their
statutory obligations by investing 1.25% of their gross receipts with the
CRDA through the purchase of bonds issued by the CRDA. The casinos may
alternately make direct investments in, or donations to, CRDA approved
projects.
