Registry of volunteer unrelated stem cell donors.
The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) is a nonprofit organization with a registry of over 4 million potential unrelated volunteer stem cell donors. The NMDP provides information on how to become a volunteer donor and to patients (and their families) who are considering a transplant for acute or chronic leukemia, aplastic anemia or other life-threatening blood diseases. Our focus is to increase the diversity of the registry and facilitate transplants for patients of all racial and socio-economic backgrounds through the recruitment of minority volunteer donors Call 1-800-MARROW2, for information on how to become a donor and for transplant information.
Our Office of Patient Advocacy at 1 (888) 999-6743 assists patients going through the search and transplant process through education, referrals, case management and financial advocacy.
