Registry of volunteer unrelated stem cell donors.
The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) is a nonprofit organization with a
registry of over 4 million potential unrelated volunteer stem cell donors.
The NMDP provides information on how to become a volunteer donor and to
patients (and their families) who are considering a transplant for acute or
chronic leukemia, aplastic anemia or other life-threatening blood diseases.
Our focus is to increase the diversity of the registry and facilitate
transplants for patients of all racial and socio-economic backgrounds through
the recruitment of minority volunteer donors Call 1-800-MARROW2, for information
on how to become a donor and for transplant information.
Our Office of Patient Advocacy at 1 (888) 999-6743 assists patients going
through the search and transplant process through education, referrals, case
management and financial advocacy.
