Beginning Calligraphy Class - The Italic Hand

Students will learn the Italic style of calligraphy using a penholder, broad-edge nib and ink on a pad of bond paper.  We cover the entire alphabet, upper and lower case, then move on to spacing, using color, envelope addressing, design and layout for quotes/poems, etc.

Shirlee DiBacco is a professional calligrapher who does commission work from her home in Ventnor, NJ.  Since her first calligraphy class in 1985, she has been an active member of the Philadelphia Calligraphers’ Society; and a member of the NY Society of Scribes since 2001.
