This virtual session will discuss skin cancer prevention, screening, and treatment options. Participants will also learn ways to help themselves and family members make the best choices to improve their health and wellness. There will also be a discussion of recent advances in immunotherapy for melanoma and what we’re doing about this here at Fox Chase. There will be opportunities to participate in a live Q&A. 

The presentation will be conducted by Allison Zambon, a Program Manager in the Office of Community Outreach at Fox Chase Cancer Center and Siddharth Balachandran, a Professor at Fox Chase and Director of its Center for Immunology. Allison has over 18 years of experience in community-based health education and health communication.  Allison has a focus on educating the Fox Chase community about cancer prevention, risk factors, symptoms, and screening recommendations. Siddharth received his PhD from Emory University in 2001. His lab studies how we mount immune responses to virus infections, and how this knowledge can be used to improve cancer immunotherapy.
