Musical Baseball Show with Howie Newman

Performing a unique, interactive, and highly entertaining program, singer-songwriter (and former sportswriter) Howie Newman sings baseball songs, offers up Phillies baseball trivia, and tells stories about his days as a sportswriter on the baseball beat.

Howie covered the World Series in 1985 and ’86 and has visited 94 major and minor league ballparks (including three generations of stadiums in Philadelphia). He has written for the biggest papers in the Boston area, including the Boston Globe, Patriot Ledger, and Lowell Sun as well as working for Associated Press and several baseball magazines. For three years, he provided color commentary for the Lowell Spinners, a Red Sox farm team, on WCAP radio.
