                It’s that time of year again!  School is out and summer days are here!  Keep your children reading to help prevent the “summer slide.”  Studies have shown that children who read for pleasure experience many benefits including boosting academic achievement, developing empathy, and improving one’s overall well-being.  Sign up for our Children’s Summer Reading Challenge on Beanstack to earn fun prizes while reading!  

WHO:  Children entering 1^st through sixth grades this fall

WHEN:  July 1^st – August 19th

HOW:

1. Register for the Children’s Summer Reading Challenge on Beanstack (https://oceancitylibrary.beanstack.com/)
2. Log minutes that your child reads between July 1st and August 19th.
