COMPUTER CENTER PART-TIME

Position requires 12-28 hours per week including days, nights, and weekends with starting pay range of $15.13/hr.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff the Library’s Computer Center, assisting a diverse population of patrons with technical and non-technical questions including but not limited to login problems, eBook/audio book assistance, general computer questions, printing, scanning, and faxing. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2021 and Microsoft Windows 10. This position will require the handling of money. Candidate must have flexible availability. Shifts will include a mix of day, night, and weekend shifts, up to 28 hours a week.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform essential job duties sometimes under duress
  • Follow oral and written directions
  • Have the ability to learn and understand library terminology and procedures
  • Utilize various types of equipment utilized by the agency including computers and other equipment as needed/instructed
  • Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the general public and to maintain effective working relationships with coworkers
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
  • Ability to maintain established library records and files
  • Ability to comprehend, and interpret regulations, policies and procedures of the library.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position requires applicants to sit for prolonged periods of time; talk and hear; lift, push, and/or pull up to 10 pounds; ability to reach, stretch, bend at waist and knees, twist, push, pull, and squat, and kneel.
